A tradition of wood-working production in Turany originates even in 19th century. In 1887 there was established the first wood-working enterprise in village \u2013 sawmill of the SCHULZ & POLLAK company whose activity was restored after the 1914 fire in wood-working factory under the name Spojen\u00e1 drev\u00e1rska \u00fa\u010dastinn\u00e1 spolo\u010dnos\u0165 (United wood-working stock company. In 1948 the factory was renamed to DREVINA.<\/p>\n

After the fall of Iron Curtain, DREVINA had passed through dramatical changes. From one of the biggest wood-working companies in that time Czechoslovakia, from many of its operations and several thousands of employees, only the machinery plant stayed functional after privatization in nineties of the previous century.
\nThis was in 1994 privatized by private persons and since 1998 is named STATON.<\/p>\n

Production line has been changed substantially. A factory, which produced almost exclusively wood-working machines, tools, equipment and technological units, gradually has became a company focused on customers of metal machining area. The share of wood-working industry customers fell approximately at 20% level and is complemented by the industry for processing plastics and composite materials.<\/p>\n

An outstanding milestone in directing the company development was year 1996, when the first coating machine was purchased. At this date the activities in its own development of coating machines had started, which resulted in the today’s used coating equipment functioning on base of PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating using the ARC evaporation method.<\/p>\n

Year 2005 was another important date, when we bought the first CNC grinding machine for production and regrinding of tools.<\/p>\n

Up to presence, STATON company has been focused on production and sale of own products and services. Recently the company extends its effort into field of tools trade of prestigious foreign manufacturers mainly from EU countries and USA. For this reason it accentuates in particular quality and service for deliveries of offered products.<\/p>\n
